Our goal with the Q&A Center is to provide a forum where our diverse community can help each other solve problems and access valuable resources. We've come up with an idea for achieving this goal and we'd like your input.
We are thinking of launching a mini project called the "How Do I?" Q&A series. Here's how it could work:
1. We'd ask members to submit questions about marketing communications problems they'd like the community to help them solve via e-mail.
2. Each week, we'd select a one question from the pool of e-mail responses and publish it to the Q&A Center
3. The community commits to answering the "How Do I?" question of the week. (This can be done via e-mail.)
We'd like your input. What do you think of this idea? Would you participate? Let us know by replying "yes" to this question. Also, feel free to provide suggestions on how we can improve this idea.
We look forward to hearing from you.

Hello Everyone:
Thanks for your feedback on our idea to launch a Q&A series designed to provide health marketing communications pros in our community and around the world with new insights and information. We launched the "How Do I" Q&A Series late last week. We've also convened an expert panel who have volunteered to help answer questions submitted as part of the series. I encourage you all to submit a question and learn more about the initiative by going here: http://pbeye.info/3v9.

YES. The only problem with this approach (from experiences with other forums) is that often there such a wide range of ideas and responses that it can become a bit meaningless. Just like screening the questions to select a "question of the week" - perhaps you could have a panel review the responses and select a "best practice" example. You could still list all of the responses for anyone who wants to read everything -- but a best practice approach may be more meaningful.
Great Feedback

Andrew:
Thanks so much for your great feedback and emphatic yes! Regarding screening answers, we have a mechanism at the Q&A Center where people can vote on responses as they come in. This might be one way for the community to choose the answers they feel are the best. in addition, community voting may help us encourage broad participation.
As the "How Do I?" mini project proceeds, we'll look for ways to highlight excellent responses in a variety of ways.
Thanks again for your response and I look forward to your participation when we launch the project (depending on interest).
