Wikimania 2012, the annual international Wiki (Wikipedia) conference, is taking place July 12-15, 2012 in Washington, DC.
We are partnering with the State Department's e-Diplomacy Office (the folks who put on Tech@State) on organizing Wikimania. Among other tracks, the conference includes a track focusing on the role of wikis and mobile access to Wikipedia and other collaborative content in crisis situations and long-term global development.
There also is a track that focuses on wikis, outreach, digital humanities, and partnerships with cultural institutions, as well as a technical track and more.
There will also be a hackathon and opportunity for workshops, an OpenStreetMap mapping party, and more.
